Legend! My life time idol, having coding tech skills, and being so artistic and creative. Amazing! I always whistle his tunes, even now after 2-3 decades!!! Machinae Supremacy gave his songs turbo boost as well! Cassette ribbon was long and cheap! Some musicians did it for sure. Besides, it is thrilling thing controlling sound with straight machine coding, one can get hours of unique stuff, perhaps ambient music that moves according to game situation... Deenen did all the maths, Jeroen played the notes. Look at Hubbard if you're looking for a musician and coder all in one. 6581 Baby! Yes, I had him in mind. Let's not forget Martin Walker who coded full games, Hunter's Moon and Citadel! Cassette ribbon was long and cheap! I think remember hearing somewhere that Tim Follin wrote his own routines. Modern times, there also the impressive 4mat. https://museumofzzt.com Top nonex Zorro Posts: 1017 Joined: Fri Dec 30, 2011 4:54 am Location: PAL, USA ### - Quote Post by nonex » Tue Mar 04, 2014 5:25 pm It's interesting to think that plugging in the notes using a machine code monitor while the tune is playing off an interrupt (ala Hubbard) is a better situation than typing them silently into Turbo Assembler then assembling... I had PAL (Beastie Boys) crack and it worked perfect here in States unlike other cracks i had of it. It's just a SID tune recording with the turbo assembler sourcecode of the player and the note/instrument tables. In what way shows this "how it was created"?!? Was this the first tune with this player? Didn't Tel just enter the tables (I thought Charles Deenen coded the player)? Leaves a lot of questions... Would be interesting.
