German house/trance tracker of Radical Rhythms (RR) with about 100 released tracks by 1997; the single source for this page is his TraxWeekly interview of March 1997 (source: s-tw090-interview-cosmic). Spieg, author of the "Motherboard Sampling" article, also signed as Radical Rhythms (source: s-tw074-motherboard-sampling).

Facts#

  • About 26 in 1997; working; no instrument, no theory; ran the Undercover BBS.
  • Around 100 released tracks in DMF and XM plus Amiga 4-channel work; at least as many unreleased; best in his view "Son of a Bitch" (and remixes); "The Boy I Want" (club house, a BMP compo entry), "Lost at Trancentral EP vol 4" (ambient).
  • Tools: fasttracker-2 since late 1996 (before it "xtracker"), liked as a ProTracker-like tracker with envelopes and panning (protracker); dislikes the scream-tracker-3 interface; samples from CD, vinyl and keyboards and "enuff" rips (sample-ripping); FT2's sampler, GoldWave, Cool Edit and a Kurzweil K2000 belonging to Ray of RR (recording-samples); a gravis-ultrasound v2.4 with the 16-bit daughterboard.
  • Opinions: the German scene of 1997 "sucks", 80 % of releases disposable; track for your own pleasure, not for ratings (hornet); play songs to friends.
