Key claims#

• TraxWeekly was a text-only magazine for the tracker scene, modelled after Hornet's "Demonews", published semi-weekly between 1995 and 1998 for 119 issues, containing news, tracking tips, interviews, reviews and "unrelated fun stuff"; the archive calls it a must-read for insight into the early PC tracker scene despite varying quality.
• Issue #1 is dated 12 March 1995; issue #50 (7 March 1996) had 488 subscribers and was published by Gene Wie ("TraxWeekly Publishing"), who describes it as having begun as a "temporary" deviation from the Hornet Demonews production.
• Issue sizes range from ~30 to ~100 KB; each issue has a contents list (Letters, General Articles, Faces in the Crowd interviews, Competitions, Group Columns, Advertisements, Closing).
