Hypnogram

Game Boy musician (first name Noah, per the thanks in intense-tech article 03; blog hypnogrammusic.blogspot.com, album XIII on Bandcamp) whose March 2016 post Don't Sleep on Z became, with permission, the basis of defense-mechanism's article on lsdj's Z command — the random-sweep lead in Phantasm Dragon (at 1:30, pulse 1 only) is cited as their signature sound (source: s-intense-tech-03-dont-sleep-on-z). The groove articles of the same series credit Hypnogram's convention of setting grooves 010C to 1…12 ticks so that G03 reads "three ticks per line", and the dramatic "Zenarchy" sound made with Hop + Groove inside a table (sources: s-intense-tech-06-groove-and-tick-tricks-part-1, s-intense-tech-07-groove-and-tick-tricks-part-2).

A third trick carries their name: the long filter sweep built as a chain of synths, each covering one slice of the CUTOFF range and played in sequence, so a sweep can outlast a single synth's sixteen waves — "a cool trick that Hypnogram showed me" (source: s-defensemech-learning-lab-shorts; the method is on wavetable-programming and filter-programming).
