Lars "ZAP" Hamre
Author of the original protracker (Amiga Freelancers, with Anders Hamre, Sven Vahsen and Rune Johnsrud): the first version on 1990-05-04, 1.0A released in August 1990 "Full of bugs", 1.0B/C, 1.1A (December 1990, Kickstart 2.0, CIA timing with a tempo gadget, invert loop) and 1.2 (1991), "based on Soundtracker V2.5 / Noisetracker" (sources: s-tracker-history-notes, s-protracker-23-readme-and-docs). He wrote the one-page PT.FileFormat.txt that defines the mod-format — with the remark that the packed-song cruncher was "ripped from another tracker" and he did not understand it — and the ProTracker 2.0A effect list (source: s-protracker-23-readme-and-docs).
