Quarex (Drew Hunt)

Sixteen-year-old member of kosmic, epinicion and his own one-man group TFX, known for PORK.MOD; the single source for this page is maelcum's unedited IRC-log interview of July 1995 (source: s-tw019-interview-quarex).

Facts#

• "My real name is supposedly Drew Hunt"; claim to fame PORK.MOD, "the most overplayed humourous song in history"; an .mtm named after "the love of my life" rated ****+, first sent to CCI under another title and re-released in 1995; his defiance musicdisk D-HMTRCH (Hamsterchant) on cdrom.com contains it. Says he got into Kosmic by praising Maelcum's remix of one of his songs (source: s-tw019-interview-quarex).
• Six years of school-band percussion, marimba, some keyboard; in a space-rock band, VÜG, that covers the Amiga .mod Xenophobe; likes FastTracker (fasttracker-2); entered MC3 in 1995 (source: s-tw019-interview-quarex; see compos).
• Writes "avant-garde music, with the occasional normal song", not realism. Influences: War Pig, Sketch; Maelcum's The Bugz Deal got him tracking; LizardKing showed what four channels can do.
