Groupless fasttracker-2 tracker and NYU film student who learned alone by "picking apart other tracker's work", claimed the only five-star XM on ftp.cdrom.com, and advised newcomers to upload only what they are proud of. • Ian Lyman, 20 in April 1996; film-production major at New York University, raised in Billings, Montana. Violin from 5 to seventh grade; saxophone from fourth grade on, jazz and blues (source: s-tw054-interview-scirocco).
• Tools: began in 1993 with a Sound Blaster Pro and Bram Graveland's Tetra Compositor (a $100 four-channel tracker), then MTM, then FT2 from early 1995. About twelve releases; "the only XM on ftp.cdrom.com with a rating of 5 stars — although I think that I really didn't deserve it" (source: s-tw054-interview-scirocco; see hornet).
