Phoenix (Andrew Voss)

kosmic musician from Troy, NY (vossa@rpi.edu). Joined the Kosmic Loader Foundation in April 1994 via an application seen on The Sound Barrier BBS after a solo musicdisk, Pyrology; by March 1995 he had about 20 KLF/Kosmic releases (Populus counts 107 songs in all), from a techno remix to hard trance, and rated The Red Horizon ("a very deep industrial ballad") his best. Starts songs from "a simple rhythm or synth pattern"; was inspired by maelcum, skaven and Deus once he got past Amiga MODs at the end of 1993; predicted "alternative demo-music" for 1995 and a restructuring of the over-large Kosmic (source: s-tw001-interview-phoenix). Catspaw names him among the newer trackers he respects (source: s-tw057-interview-catspaw). The TOC lists the Kosmic column of #18 as "Maelcum/Phoenix" (source: s-traxweekly-archive).
