Stalker (Ariel Gross)

Musician of the demo group OTM and, from April 1995, of defiance; a scream-tracker-3 user since its release who started on Composer 669 in December 1993. The main source is Zer0's TraxWeekly interview of April 1995 (source: s-tw004-interview-stalker).

Facts#

• Ariel Gross, 15 in April 1995. Tracker lineage: Composer 669 (December 1993) → MultiTracker (about two months later) → ST3 "the second st3 came out".
• OTM (formerly Gentilezza) recruited him after Zilym Limms heard his first 669s on his uncle's BBS, The Sun State Fun BBS; other members named: Supreme, Hurricane, Tek (the group's other musician), Volt, Nameshift, Phred. His music for OTM's first demo was finished in April 1995.
• Writing music for a multi-platform game (PC, 3DO, Jaguar, possibly PlayStation) and planning a CD. His Tropical Beans grew from a loop sampled from Sonic CD (Sega CD).
• Favourites: necros ("what I aspire to be"), the renaissance musicians, the five-musicians, Tek.
• basehead's Lotus Position was originally planned as Modernize-1, a joint musicdisk with Stalker, before both decided on solo disks (source: s-tw027-interview-basehead-lotus-position).
• Named a favourite by quarex (July 1995), with War Pig, Lizardking, Capricorn, Ranger Rick and maelcum (source: s-tw019-interview-quarex), and an influence by vegas (June 1996): "Stalker's da' shit, IMO ... I just wish he'd write more" (source: s-tw062-interview-vegas).
