Mick Rippon

- 19 in January 1996 (20 that month); music degree aimed at a composition major; acoustic guitar, self-taught piano. Online only since October 1995, at 9600 baud.
- "A tracker is only an artistic tool"; learns by working out why brilliant music sounds good rather than by listening widely; composes by mood, ambient and laid-back, writing down melodies he wakes up with.
- Songs named by FITC: "Wake the baby" (S3M, dance/techno, uploaded 1 October 1995, on the #29 suggested-songs list; e-mail unknown at the time) (source: s-tw029-faces-in-the-crowd-esper-division), "Igsignif" (S3M, dance/techno, October 1995; credited to "Mik Rippon") and "Tea Cosy" (S3M, ambient/mellow, June 1995 — "a very catchy and appealing theme", faulted only for a badly looped organ sample). A tune written for Oz96, Australia's first demo party.
